Whats a good remote takeover program almost like vnc?

well you see i'm running windows vista on my laptop and i need to be able to view and takeover my 8 year olds pc (windows 7) from my laptop. I used to use vnc viewer but apparently that doesn't work on vista.. are there any good alternatives that offer similar functionality. Thx in advance :D
